John Goullet's journey in the IT staffing industry began nearly three decades ago with the founding of Info Technologies, Inc. Having worked as an account executive at an IT staffing firm for several years, he recognized the potential to compete with existing businesses without major challenges or substantial upfront investments. The industry was still in its early stages, driven by the increasing reliance of businesses on computer systems and the internet.
The key to his success lay in identifying a unique value proposition that set his company apart from competitors. While many staffing firms targeted smaller businesses seeking IT department implementation, Goullet had the foresight to focus on Fortune 500 companies, addressing their staffing needs and facilitating the placement of suitable candidates. Info Technologies became one of the most successful IT staffing firms in the country, earning recognition on Inc. Magazine's "America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies" list and achieving revenue of over $30 million within just five years of operation.
The year 2010 brought a significant decision for Goullet, as he facilitated the merger of Info Technologies, Inc. with Diversant, Inc., a competing IT staffing firm founded in 2005. This merger formed Diversant LLC, enabling the new entity to leverage the strengths of both precursor companies and expand its footprint in the industry. Diversant diversified its services, extending into sectors such as banking, energy, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, and healthcare.
Under Goullet’s direction as chairman of the newly formed company’s board, Diversant strategically expanded its operations, adding more than 10 new offices across the United States and diversifying its service offerings into various industries, including manufacturing, energy, financial services, banking, telecommunications, retail, and healthcare.
Goullet's educational foundation in computer science was laid at Ursinus College, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1983. His career coincided with the emergence of personal computing in the late 1970s and early 1980s, a period when technology was gaining significant traction. The demand for individuals with technological expertise was on the rise, and Goullet ventured into the professional world during this emerging tech-driven era.
